"My two most indelible recollections of this here gig: (1) Don was so hoarse from rehearsing with a busted P.A. (full tilt yelling lyrics over the sonic boom of Saint Ballantine) that in the thick of "Personal Savior Blues," he sounded like Wavy Gravy's stage announcements at Woodstock; and (2) thanks to the quick thinking (and nimble fingers) of guest guitarist Carey Burtt, they on-the-spot improv'd a turbulent version of the "39 Lashes" number from Jesus Christ Superstar while Doktors staged salacious psychic surgery on the floor below."   ~ Uncle Roy
